About the role
Provide technical leadership for global engineering compute and CAD infrastructure across Linux compute environments, workspaces, LSF integration, EDA licensing, and Perforce infrastructure. The position bridges hands-on engineering, architecture, and operational support to scale semiconductor development environments globally.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve the global engineering project and workspace architecture, including environment initialization mechanisms and interfaces to PDKs and EDA tools.
- Provide technical leadership for global EDA license-server infrastructure and automate license updates, validation, and auditing.
- Develop automation in Python and shell to manage CAD infrastructure configuration, provisioning, and monitoring.
- Provide technical expertise for LSF-based batch compute environments, collaborating with IT/IS on resource sharing, capacity planning, and workload efficiency.
- Deliver engineering-side technical expertise for Perforce server infrastructure, operations, storage, and automation.
- Build monitoring dashboards to track compute and license utilization, identify reliability risks, and guide forward capacity planning.
What you'll need
- Significant experience in EDA/CAD infrastructure engineering within semiconductor development.
- Strong Linux/Unix expertise alongside compute, storage, and network requirements for EDA environments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, preferably Python and shell.
- Experience with LSF or comparable distributed compute environments.
- Experience with enterprise version-control and data-management infrastructure such as Perforce Helix and IPLM.
- Experience with EDA licensing and FlexNet-based licensing environments.
- Proven experience with engineering project/workspace management and developing production-quality engineering automation.
