About the role
The Software Engineering team in Agoura Hills, CA is looking for a senior Embedded Software Engineer to balance software system design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The role focuses on architecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of Linux BSP and userspace tools for automated test equipment.
What you'll do
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, verification, and lab validation of Linux BSP and userspace tools for automated test equipment. - Collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Systems engineering to refine requirements and provide interfaces to complex hardware systems. - Implement scalable, high-performance, high-quality, extensible, and maintainable code. - Execute build, deployment, and test automation of the systems you create and improve. - Debug complex system-level issues involving software, hardware, and OS interactions.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of experience developing software. - Experience with Embedded Linux BSP development, including Devicetrees, u-boot configuration, BIOS configuration, and building and deploying Linux on embedded systems. - Experience with Linux drivers, bootloader, and application development in Linux environments. - Expertise in C and C++ coding, alongside scripting languages such as Python and bash. - Proficiency with development tools including GIT, Cmake, Yocto, and Docker. - Familiarity with hardware protocols such as I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, and USB. - Familiarity with x86_64, ARM64, and PowerPC processors as well as high-end x86_64 servers. - BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
