About the role
This role involves software design, development, debugging, and testing of Linux/Android Telephony software. You will work on cellular technologies like 4G LTE and 5G to enable telephony features such as voice/data, IMS – VoLTE, Video Telephony, VoWifi, and MSIM/SIM use cases.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and drive new telephony features on the Android platform.
- Debug and fix complex problems involving multiple modules from Android UI, framework, middleware to radio interface layer.
- Implement tools and test applications to enable and streamline the testing process.
- Contribute to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
- Contribute to pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up of future chipsets.
What you'll need
- 2+ years of experience in C and JAVA/Kotlin programming and Data Structures and Algorithms.
- 2+ years of experience in Android Software Development.
- 2+ years of experience in embedded software development on mobile devices.
- 2+ years of experience in software development in Linux environment.
- Experience in Object Oriented Design and Development.
Nice to have
- Experience in Telephony Domain.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Experience using git for development, patch/tree management.
