About the role
This role is part of the NVIDIA-Cumulus system Ethernet QA team focused on testing Ethernet Switch/Router systems running Cumulus Linux. The team tests features for AI and Spectrum-X solutions on NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series switches.
What you'll do
- Perform functional testing of Layer 2 and Layer 3 features on NVIDIA-Mellanox Spectrum series Ethernet Switch systems running NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux. - Write detailed feature and system test plans, while defining and designing test beds and topologies. - Identify and report issues into defect tracking systems, validating fixes and workarounds. - Develop automated test suites for features of NVIDIA-Cumulus Linux. - Build and maintain automation infrastructure to support continuous functional regression testing. - Collaborate with design, test, and internal engineering groups to identify, report, and resolve issues.
What you'll need
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience. - 6+ years of demonstrable experience in software quality engineering. - Scripting skills in Python or other scripting languages, with knowledge of Ansible. - Hands-on experience with L2 and L3 protocols such as MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, and EVPN. - Experience using test tools from Ixia or Spirent and working experience in test management. - Proficiency with test management tools such as HP ALM, alongside experience working in Unix or Linux-based operating systems.
