About the role
This role involves performing requirements-based and system level testing for Onto Innovation's Inspection Business Unit solutions.
What you'll do
- Perform requirements-based and system level testing.
- Develop comprehensive test plans for new features and products.
- Develop efficient test strategies (test cases and procedures) for sub-systems.
- Develop and execute automated and manual tests, regression, functional, and acceptance tests.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software.
- Perform design/code reviews for all automation scripts and manual test cases.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to understand requirements and design test strategies and plans based on those requirements.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing and/or systems level testing for highly technical applications.
- Experience developing automation frameworks or automated tests and scripting (Python, JavaScript).
- Experience testing client/server solutions.
- Excellent skillset focused on Windows development, the .NET platform (C#, C++), and relational databases (SQL Server).
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Demonstrated experience debugging complex multi-threaded environments.
- Ability to design and execute test strategies and plans based on requirements and functional designs.
- Ability to travel internationally to customer sites at least 20% of the time.
Nice to have
- Experience working in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, AzureDevOps) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practice.
