About the role
This Software Program Manager role focuses on Server Software teams, managing the planning, development, and delivery of software/firmware for Qualcomm's Server Business Unit. This role specifically collaborates with HLOS, FW, BMC, Platform, SoC, and Oryon CPU technology areas.
What you'll do
- Develop, define, and execute plans for one or more software/firmware teams.
- Drive requirements scoping, analysis, and planning including interdependencies, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across multiple tech teams and customers using Agile best practices.
- Establish a clear Plan of Record commitment and drive prioritization.
- Manage program health and execution by applying rigorous execution discipline, Agile best practices, and communication processes.
- Drive teams to identify program issues/risks and create a risk mitigation plan.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop program goals and set prioritization of deliverables.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
- Technical understanding of SW deliverables.
- Experience in risk management/risk mitigation.
- Ability to establish rigorous execution discipline, Agile best practices, and communication processes.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7 years of Program Management or related work experience.
- 2 years in Chipset/firmware or AI Development, either in an engineering or program management role.
- PMP Certification and/or Agile Certification.
- 2 years’ experience using agile program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Dashboards (Gantt charts, PowerBI, Tableau).
