What you'll do
- Define product requirements for Power ICs with Switching Converters based on customer needs.
- Architect ICs and break down system/chip-top level requirements into block-level specifications.
- Design complete switching converters, understanding challenges related to high current/power switching converter design such as noise and power dissipation.
- Choose, design, and compensate control loops, considering target performance.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and risks.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical expertise.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 15+ years in systems engineering with customer-facing experience.
- Proven experience defining multiple Power ICs with Switching Converters.
- Proficiency in designing complete switching converters and all involved I/Ps.
- In-depth understanding of Power devices, operations, and design trade-offs.
- In-depth understanding of control loops and control loop architectures (Constant Freq, Constant ON/OFF Time, Current mode).
- In-depth knowledge of system simulation tools like Simplis.
