About the role
This role involves serving as a highly technical and partner-focused Solutions Architect within AMD's Global Partner Team, with a dedicated focus on strategic Global Systems Integrator (GSI) partners. The role focuses on helping partners design and bring to market differentiated solutions spanning AI and Generative AI, data center, cloud, client, embedded, HPC, and networking technologies.
What you'll do
- Drive strategic technical alignment with GSI partners, shaping solution strategy and developing repeatable AMD-based offerings and joint innovation initiatives.
- Develop GSI-level technical strategies, solution architectures, practices, Centers of Excellence, proofs of concept/value, and scalable offerings built on AMD technologies.
- Lead technical enablement through workshops, demonstrations, architecture guidance, proofs of value, and coaching for GSI technical teams.
- Serve as a technical advocate for GSI partners within AMD, bringing forward partner use cases, feature requirements, technical challenges, and support needs and helping drive them toward resolution.
What you'll need
- Strong understanding of how GSIs build practices, Centers of Excellence, solutions and offerings, enable technical teams, and bring capabilities to market with enterprise customers.
- Deep technical foundation across enterprise architecture, software and hardware platforms, AI, data center, cloud, and modern application environments.
- Ability to translate complex technologies and customer requirements into scalable architectures, proofs of concept/value, and repeatable partner solutions.
- Proven ability to influence and mobilize teams across partner organizations, engineering, product, sales, and business functions without direct authority.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, another engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Direct experience working at or closely with Global Systems Integrators, with strong understanding of GSI practices, solution development, Centers of Excellence, industry use cases, and go-to-market models.
- Strong solution architecture and development experience across AI/ML and Generative AI, data center, cloud, HPC, client, and/or enterprise application environments.
- Hands-on understanding of modern software development and DevOps lifecycles.
- Experience architecting full-stack infrastructure solutions spanning compute, storage, networking, virtualization, containers, and orchestration.
- Experience with technologies and platforms such as Kubernetes, VMware, Nutanix, Red Hat OpenShift.
- Strong understanding of AI and data ecosystems, ML/DL frameworks, MLOps, and modern AI application development.
- Experience developing proofs of concept/value, technical enablement programs, reference architectures, or repeatable partner solutions.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging both technical and business audiences.
