About the role
As a Senior Performance Verification Engineer, you will be a member of the CPU Performance verification Team responsible for performance correlation, analyzing workloads and benchmarks for performance bottlenecks, developing microbenchmarks, and creating the necessary verification infrastructure for performance analysis.
What you'll do
- Define, plan, implement, and execute performance verification strategy of CPU designs.
- Delve into the lowest level details of CPU unit design specification, implementation, and its performance impact.
- Interact with architect and design engineers to define detailed scope of micro architectural features.
- Draft detailed performance testplans and define/create scalable micros to validate features.
- Analyze and correlate CPU benchmarks/workloads.
- Build infrastructure/tooling needed for efficient performance correlation debug.
- Lead and provide detailed technical guidance to junior engineers.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in EE/ECE or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in CPU performance modeling, performance correlation, performance analysis, or relevant experiences.
- Strong understanding of CPU micro architecture and designs.
- Experience with workload analysis and characterization.
- Strong coding skills in scripting languages like Perl, Python, or C++.
Nice to have
- Experience leading performance validation of major blocks of CPU pipeline.
- Background with ARM A64, X86 Architectures.
