About the role
Work on the test and design of PAM4 optical transceivers for datacenter, AI/ML, and HPC applications.
What you'll do
- Define and implement testing methodology and strategy for optical transceivers to meet customer requirements. - Collaborate cross-functionally with FW/SW, OSA (optical sub-assembly), process development, and Q&R teams to develop compliant optical transceivers. - Create product design documents including drawings, BOM, and ECOs. - Address DFM issues and perform RF and link simulations as needed.
What you'll need
- B.S. with 5 years of related experience, M.S. with 3 years, or Ph.D. with less than 1 year. - Expertise and technical knowledge in high-speed RF devices, photonics, and optoelectronics. - Familiarity with high-speed optical transceivers. - Optical and electrical lab measurement skills, including script-based test automation. - Understanding of microprocessors and real-time control firmware.
Nice to have
- Technical background in PAM4 optical transceiver designs. - Background in high-density multiple-layer PCB designs.
