About the role
This role involves overseeing end-to-end quality processes for interconnect optical transceivers and CPO sub assemblies at a contract manufacturer. The scope includes NVLINK, InfiniBand, and Ethernet connectivity solutions for servers and storage.
What you'll do
- Act as the on-site quality representative at the contract manufacturer (CM), overseeing end-to-end quality processes.
- Monitor and enforce manufacturing quality standards, including ESD controls, line setup, line audits, and process adherence.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by assisting in product bring-up and troubleshooting issues.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (5D/8D reports) for quality incidents.
- Collaborate with NVIDIA engineering, NPI, supplier quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure product reliability and successful ramp to production.
What you'll need
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in quality, process, or NPI engineering roles in high-tech manufacturing or optoelectronic components.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Process, or Quality Engineering or related technical field.
- Strong knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies (SPC, 5D/8D, FMEA, root cause analysis).
- Experience working closely with contract manufacturers (CMs), including on-site support and line audits.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing process controls, material handling, ESD standards, and product assembly flows.
