About the role
You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and building semiconductor fabrication equipment, subsystems, and tools. The role focuses on lithography, metrology, and motion systems that operate on the nanometer scale.
What you'll do
- Design and iterate on machines, subsystems, test fixtures, inspection tools, and sensors. - Lead system integration efforts, testing, and cross-team coordination. - Develop electrical designs, including PCB design, wiring, power electronics, and sensor integration. - Execute mechanical design of frames, components, and assemblies. - Rapidly prototype, build, and test new designs while sourcing and selecting components. - Write light software and firmware to support system operation.
What you'll need
- 5 years of experience designing and building electromechanical systems for real-world applications. - Practical electromechanical system design and analysis capabilities. - Electrical instrumentation experience with scopes, meters, and sensors. - Mechanical design and CAD proficiency. - Hands-on prototyping, fabrication, and assembly background. - Experience with component sourcing, selection, and light coding or scripting.
Nice to have
- Circuit design and PCB layout (analog and digital). - Experience with metrology and sensor technologies. - Motion system selection and control. - Experience with optical components and system integration.
