About the role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will join the centralized Mechanical Engineering organization supporting advanced automatic test equipment (ATE) and emerging silicon photonics technologies. This role involves complex multidisciplinary programs, mechanical design, thermal management, precision structures, optical integration, and system-level architecture.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the development of mechanical architectures for advanced ATE and silicon photonics systems. - Guide technical execution across complex, cross-functional product development programs. - Develop solutions involving thermal management, precision mechanical systems, packaging, and system integration. - Support teams through important technical decisions, tradeoff analyses, and risk mitigation activities. - Partner across engineering disciplines to develop robust, manufacturable, and scalable products. - Mentor and support developing engineers through coaching, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. - 10+ years of experience developing complex mechanical or electromechanical systems. - Experience contributing to product architecture development and technically sophisticated product development programs. - Demonstrated ability to build alignment and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. - Strong mechanical design, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Experience working in environments with evolving requirements and technical ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. - Experience in semiconductor equipment, automated test equipment, silicon photonics, optics, or precision instrumentation.
