About the role
ASML’s Manufacturing Engineering team supports the production of complex optical, mechanical, electrical, and system-level assemblies used in advanced lithography systems. In this role, you will drive process development, optimization, and sustainment in a high-tech manufacturing environment, with assignments spanning New Product Introduction (NPI), Top-Level System Integration, Solid State Pulse Power Module (SSPPM), or Optics.
What you'll do
- Own and sustain manufacturing processes to ensure quality, yield, and throughput performance across optical, electro-mechanical, and system-level builds. - Lead process development and NPI activities, including manufacturing readiness, pilot builds, and transitions to volume production. - Apply structured problem-solving methods such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, and root cause analysis to improve process capability and reduce variation. - Translate product and design requirements into manufacturing processes, control plans, work instructions, and BOMs. - Execute change management activities (COs, TDNs) and partner cross-functionally with Design, Quality, and Production teams. - Provide hands-on support on the production floor and in cleanroom environments while training technicians and production staff on best practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Manufacturing, Optical, or a related Engineering field. - 5+ years of experience in system integration, NPI, precision optics, or high-voltage power systems. - Demonstrated experience applying DOE, FMEA, SPC, and process capability analysis to complex hardware systems. - Experience troubleshooting multi-disciplinary optical, electro-mechanical, or software systems. - Proven background in process documentation, validation methodologies, and change management.
Nice to have
- Experience in optics, laser systems, lithography, or precision electro-mechanical assemblies. - Experience supporting NPI or product transfers into manufacturing. - Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent training. - Experience with automated test systems and metrology tools.

How we counted: 2507 open Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing Equipment) roles from 80 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 22 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
