About the role

As Senior Manager, Mechanical Engineering, you will lead a team of mechanical engineers responsible for the design, analysis, and continuous improvement of semiconductor equipment. You will own the local mechanical design roadmap, solving challenges in heat transfer, motion and vibration, cantilever loading, and fluid and thermal dynamics.

What you'll do

- Lead a team of mechanical engineers, setting goals, priorities, and expectations while managing local platform roadmaps from concept through validation. - Design and analyze critical mechanical subsystems, including heat transfer, motion, vibration, cantilever loads, and fluid/thermal dynamics using simulation and analytical tools. - Interface with robotics, vacuum, and subsystem teams to deliver integrated equipment solutions aligned with system-level requirements. - Lead technical incident investigations, facilitate structured root cause and corrective action (RCCA) processes, and verify regional corrective actions. - Troubleshoot cross-module yield excursions alongside integration and process teams, defining and auditing site control limits for mechanical parameters. - Design and execute DOEs applying multivariate analysis and PCA to isolate factors, optimize subsystem designs, and present technical status during customer QBRs.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of relevant industry experience, Master's with 8+ years, or PhD with 4+ years. - 2-3 years of direct people management experience leading and developing engineering teams. - Equipment or complex machinery design experience, ideally in semiconductor capital equipment. - Technical foundation in heat transfer, structural mechanics (including motion, vibration, and cantilever loads), and fluid and thermal dynamics. - Experience leading incident investigations and corrective/preventive actions using structured RCCA methodologies. - Experience defining and applying control limits and auditing measurement systems to ensure data repeatability.
