About the role

Lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise storage and data protection platforms supporting both EDA (Electronic Design Automation) and corporate workloads. This role oversees storage solutions across datacenter and cloud environments supporting high-IOPS simulation and AI workloads with throughput exceeding 5 TB/s.

What you'll do

- Own and evolve the storage platform roadmap across file, block, object storage, and data protection across on-premises and cloud environments. - Lead storage design reviews for EDA workflows (build, test, simulation, regression) and engineer solutions supporting AI workloads with >5 TB/s training throughput. - Establish standard architectures for tiering, archiving, retention, immutability (WORM), disaster recovery, replication, and failover while enforcing security, encryption, and RBAC standards. - Own end-to-end storage and backup service delivery, defining and tracking SLAs/SLOs for latency, throughput, backup success, restore times, and replication health. - Lead automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code and scripting tools including Ansible, Terraform, Python, and PowerShell across provisioning, quotas, snapshots, and replication. - Manage and mentor onshore and offshore engineering teams, oversee capacity planning, FinOps alignment, vendor RFPs, and lifecycle management.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Track record leading enterprise storage architecture across file, block, and object storage in datacenter and cloud environments. - Experience managing onshore and offshore storage engineering teams and driving incident management, capacity forecasting, and operational procedures. - Experience delivering automated storage workflows using Ansible, Terraform, Python, or PowerShell.

Nice to have

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Expertise supporting high-performance storage for EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens EDA), HPC, or AI/ML workloads. - Deep knowledge of NAS/SAN architectures and storage networking protocols including FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, and S3. - Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems such as NetApp ONTAP, Dell PowerScale/Isilon, HPE, IBM, VAST, or WEKA, and public cloud storage across Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI. - Familiarity with data protection platforms such as Rubrik or Commvault, including immutability and air-gap strategies. - Experience with compliance and security frameworks including SOX, ISO, NIST, data retention, and legal hold.
