About the role
This role involves supporting high-performance EDA compute farms and designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade Linux environments across RPM-based distributions optimized for high-throughput EDA workloads.
What you'll do
- Maintain, tune, and secure mission-critical Linux operating systems.
- Lead infrastructure configuration management and continuous deployment workflows using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Write code in Python, Bash, or Go to automate operational tasks and integrate infrastructure telemetry.
- Manage Linux Naming Services (LDAP/SSSD) and networked storage (NFS, Autofs) for EDA workloads.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience with RPM-based Linux distributions.
- Strong track record of automating multi-tier infrastructure configurations and managing centralized deployments.
- Deep understanding of virtualization and container internals (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, MicroVMs).
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for infrastructure automation, tooling development, and API integrations.
- Deep operational understanding of OSI layers, TCP socket states, MTU optimization, and packet captures (tcpdump, wireshark).
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD integration pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) for infrastructure artifacts.
- Experience with GCP and AWS compute services.
- Prior experience supporting EDA toolchains (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence) and high-performance compute clusters (e.g., LSF and Slurm environments).
