About the role
This role involves the physical design, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems as a Senior Lead Physical Design Engineer.
What you'll do
- Plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, circuits, and equipment.
- Develop complex ECOs for timing convergence across various corners.
- Implement techniques to minimize power consumption.
- Push Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) targets.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering experience; OR Master's degree and 2+ years of experience; OR PhD and 1+ year of experience.
- 5 years of experience in Physical design and STA in CPU Domain.
- Solid understanding of industry standard tools for physical implementation (Genus, Innovus, FC, PT, Tempus, Voltas, Redhawk).
- Strong grasp of floorplan to PRO and timing signoff, including IR drop and physical verification.
- Experience with deep submicron process technology nodes.
- Knowledge of high performance and low power implementation methods.
- Expertise in Perl and TCL language.
