About the role
As a Senior Integrated Optics Researcher, you will develop and demonstrate advanced photonic solutions for ASML's lithographic and metrology instruments within the Optics and Photonics group.
What you'll do
- Translate optical sensing concepts into photonic solutions for industrial applications. - Define requirements, architecture, and technology development needs for photonic solutions, contributing to the photonics technology roadmap. - Identify concepts and assess technology maturity. - Design and specify photonic integrated circuits. - Define experiments for evaluation of photonic integrated circuits. - Generate new ideas and solutions for current and future photonic applications.
What you'll need
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Physics with 4+ years of experience in integrated photonics. - Experience identifying system-level and technology development needs for photonic solution concepts. - Experience developing photonic integrated circuits: design and specification. - Experience designing photonic components using numerical methods such as FDTD, EME, and FEM and optics modeling software (e.g., Lumerical). - Experience with experimental evaluation of PICs. - Experience with manufacturing of PICs and interacting with foundries.
