About the role
This role involves redesigning the NVIDIA manufacturing sites connectivity strategy and focuses on the development and deployment of IT rooms at these sites.
What you'll do
- Troubleshoot network issues at the factory, including DNS and DHCP.
- Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of global-scale factories and their connection to the cloud and factory IT rooms, supporting general compute workloads and large language models.
- Partner with systems, operations teams, supply chain partners, OS, GPU, storage, and HPC product teams to deliver scalable, highly available network architectures and connectivity solutions.
- Design clear demarcations between the IT room, production floor, and NPI areas in the factory and their connectivity to NVIDIA DCs and clouds.
- Manage lifecycle management and design topologies for faster networks in revenue-generating manufacturing sites.
- Define and enforce security, compliance, and reliability standards for backbone and fabric components supporting sensitive enterprise and R&D workloads.
- Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to develop "NVIDIA on NVIDIA" reference architectures and best-practice solutions for large-scale compute and AI data designs using Mellanox and GPUs.
- Troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and other full connectivity stack infrastructures.
What you'll need
- MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 12+ years of experience in building, managing, and supporting large-scale hybrid networks.
- Experience developing automation pipelines with Python, Ruby, Go, or other languages used in infrastructure automation.
- Expertise in networking technologies: TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MP-BGP, VPN, L2 switching, EVPN, VxLAN, Segment Routing, MPLS, IS-IS, DWDM.
- Experience automating SDN/NFV/NFVI Infrastructure.
- Experience with Mellanox networking gear.
- Experience with Test Engineering topologies.
