About the role
As a member of the Hardware Product Management team, you will be responsible for Silicon Labs IoT products starting from concept to plan and customer alphas. You will define IC product roadmaps, requirements, and specifications for wireless connectivity SoCs spanning Bluetooth, Zigbee, Thread, Z-Wave, and Wi-Fi.
What you'll do
- Define SoC product requirements, features, specifications, and system KPIs for core CPU, co-processors, accelerators, power management, digital and analog peripherals, security sub-system, radio sub-system, and packages. - Map market systems application requirements to product use cases, system block diagrams, compute and peripheral requirements, and protocol stack performance requirements for Wi-Fi, Matter, Thread, ZigBee, Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth Classic, Sidewalk, Wi-SUN, and proprietary protocols. - Define hardware and evaluation tools for customers, including debug interfaces such as JTAG, SWD, ETM trace, PTI, and virtual communication ports. - Collaborate across IC design, product test, software development, product marketing, applications, operations, and sales to develop roadmaps and silicon definitions. - Drive the product development process from concept through definition, and pitch product ideas to executive staff. - Conduct competitive analysis, including die-level tear-downs and spec analyses, to provide takeaways for design, specification, and fighting guides.
What you'll need
- BSEE/BSCS (or equivalent) and 6+ years of experience in semiconductor product management or the IoT industry. - Core development experience in IC front end, architecture, verification, or embedded systems. - Knowledge of key architectural considerations for PPA, including power estimation, die size estimation, and fundamental process node technology principles. - Knowledge of wireless modem and RF design principles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 802.15.4, or other low-power wireless standards. - Experience developing business cases and sensitivity analyses for technology investments with business unit partners. - Demonstrated technical collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware and software engineers.
Nice to have
