This role focuses on machine learning inference acceleration in the cloud.

About the role

This role involves the product development lifecycle for power electronics, power management products, and voltage regulators for machine learning inference acceleration in the cloud.

What you'll do

  • Specify board-level power design, power management products, and voltage regulator selection.
  • Develop, program, and debug power management solutions.
  • Validate board/SoC test and power correlation post-silicon to meet system-level performance.
  • Provide schematic/layout guidance to the CAD team and conduct design reviews.
  • Drive internal simulation teams for signal and power integrity (SI/PI) analysis.
  • Derive, document, and execute board validation test plans pre/post-silicon, including bring-up and testing prototypes.
  • Triage system-level problems to determine root cause and analyze test results for design margins.

What you'll need

  • Expertise in power electronics (switch mode and linear) and power management.
  • Expertise with multi-phase buck, boost, intermediate bus converters, LDO regulators, eFuse, hot-swap controllers, voltage level-translators, differential amplifiers, voltage and current sensing telemetry.
  • Experience with design and simulation tools such as SIMPLIS and MATLAB.
  • Expertise in high bandwidth/low latency control interfaces, thermal analysis, and power distribution networks.
  • Proficiency with industry standard interfaces (e.g. SPI/I2C, AVS, PMBus, DDR, PCIe, USB).
  • Experience with PCB layout and construction.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with firmware coding or Python/scripting languages.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics.
  • Experience programming Qualcomm PMIC for system power-on/off sequence.
