About the role

This role involves developing analog and digital hardware design platforms for the reliability characterization of new power conversion IC products. The focus is on designing and evaluating power supply systems and unique power conversion architectures to assess product reliability before market release.

What you'll do

  • Develop complex, modular test systems for environmental chambers capable of operating up to 95°C, while maintaining device-under-test (DUT) temperatures up to 125°C.
  • Interpret Objective Technical Specifications (OTS) and translate requirements into functional evaluation and reliability test circuits.
  • Work cross-functionally to translate device requirements into effective reliability stress test platforms and validation methodologies.
  • Design and specify magnetic components, including inductors and transformers, for reliability stress-test platforms.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and optimize reliability test hardware and test methodologies.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in power electronics and hardware design.
  • Design and development of power electronic systems, including power converters, inverters, and power supplies.
  • Analog and digital circuit design.
  • Switched-mode power supply (SMPS) design, including Buck converters, Boost converters, SEPIC converters, Flyback converters, Forward converters, Bridge converters, and Resonant converters.
  • Proficiency with electronic design and PCB layout tools.
  • Strong understanding of PCB design practices for high-voltage and high-current applications.
  • Experience with Verilog and FPGA development.
  • Proficiency with circuit simulation tools such as Simetrix and SIMPLIS.
  • Strong technical writing skills, including design documentation and operational specification development.

Nice to have
