Develop prototype architectural improvements for Mali Graphics products.
About the role
As a Senior GPU Architect in the Central Technology Graphics Hardware Architecture team, you will focus on architecture, technology research, hands-on prototyping, and experimental investigations. You will collaborate to build prototype architectural improvements and validate architecture ideas for Mali Graphics products.
What you'll do
- Build and prototype architectural improvements and validate innovative architecture concepts. - Conduct technology research and experimental investigations for GPU IPs. - Analyze the performance of gaming and GPGPU workloads. - Engage with product groups and collaborate closely with engineering teams to deliver GPU IP.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree with more than 6 years of industry experience (minimum 2 years in GPU-related work), MS degree with more than 4 years of experience (minimum 2 years working with GPUs), or PhD with at least 2 years of experience working on GPUs. - Knowledge of the graphics pipeline. - Knowledge of GPU architectures, including fixed function units required for graphics processing. - Understanding of the architectural compromises between GPU and CPU architectures. - Background in computer architecture. - Programming ability in C and C++, with experience working with large codebases and debugging complex problems.

How we counted: 472 open SoC/Chip Architecture (SOC Architecture) roles from 65 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 19 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Digital Design & Verification family row.
