About the role
This role involves leading Field Applications Engineers who support Consumer customers across relevant technical disciplines. The position serves as a technical advisor to Sales leadership and an Applications leader, accountable for customer success, design activity, and revenue growth.
What you'll do
- Serve as senior technical advisor to Consumer Sales leadership, translating strategy and customer priorities.
- Synthesize system requirements, roadmaps, business priorities, and design challenges to guide team investment.
- Develop and propose new product ideas to Product Lines to fill customers' needs.
- Integrate activities of FAEs, specialists, and partner teams, aligning resources and removing obstacles.
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of FAEs and specialist contributors, establishing goals and development plans.
- Build and sustain relationships with customer technical leaders to understand strategic priorities and influence architecture decisions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in product, design, technical marketing, field applications engineering, or equivalent, including demonstrated success leading FAEs or specialist contributors.
- Proficiency in analog circuit design at the board and system levels.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Ability to communicate with and influence customers, senior Sales and Business Unit leaders, peer managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Exceptional expertise in a relevant technology area that can benefit the broader sales organization.
- Strong understanding of ADI’s sales processes and/or external sales best practices.
- Established record of building and sustaining relationships with customer technical leaders.
- Track record of timely hiring, talent development, retention, and succession planning.
- Ability to travel up to 20%, primarily within the United States.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
