About the role
This role is responsible for the engineering project management of strategic and technologically advanced components and suppliers within the New Product Introduction (NPI) team.
What you'll do
- Manage product as a project, defining design timelines and setting quality, capacity, and automation roadmaps for High Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
- Lead engineering engagement with strategic suppliers for NPI and ongoing production, identifying risks and optimization areas.
- Define and implement monitoring and documentation requirements for key process steps to ensure consistency and quality.
- Establish comprehensive quality criteria and Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) procedures at suppliers.
- Monitor and analyze supplier yield data, production metrics, and quality performance to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier technical audits and provide mentorship on standard processes in manufacturing and quality control.
- Own issues end-to-end, driving root cause investigations, recommending solutions, and planning implementation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering roles, with a focus on process management, manufacturing engineering, or NPI.
- Proven track record to understand complex manufacturing processes and identify critical control points.
- Strong background in process quality methodologies, including yield analysis, data interpretation, root cause analysis, and driving corrective actions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to run a technical program to committed timelines and influence cross-functional teams.
- Sound engineering and quality judgment weighed against operational needs, making pragmatic trade-offs.
- Resilience and effectiveness under high workload and ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
