About the role
As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will perform complex electro-mechanical technical functions including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems. You will conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
What you'll do
- Perform testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, assembly, and troubleshooting of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, prototype models, and specialized test fixtures. - Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level issues in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems with no supervision. - Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms to engineering and manufacturing specifications. - Execute new system installations, NPI installations, and field upgrades while working from limited or no documentation. - Compile logbooks, write complex technical reports and test procedures, and document recommended changes to enhance product performance. - Train lower-level engineering technicians and collaborate closely with Engineering to develop procedures and documentation for NPI.
What you'll need
- Comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within electro-mechanical technical functions. - Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical sub-systems and AMAT platforms. - Technical documentation skills to write complex reports, logbooks, and test procedures. - Ability to perform physically demanding clean room tasks, including working in tight spaces, climbing ladders, lifting, operating hand and power tools, and wearing clean room Personal Protective Equipment.
