About the role
As a Senior Equipment Technician on the EPI team, you will support the performance, reliability, and safety of ASM epitaxy systems. This role supports two ASM EPI toolsets, combining equipment troubleshooting with process awareness to handle technical escalations.
What you'll do
- Support and maintain two ASM EPI toolsets, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance. - Perform advanced troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, software, vacuum, thermal, and gas delivery subsystems. - Resolve recurring alarms using standard fault trees and lead structured root-cause investigations using 8D and 5 Whys methodologies. - Advise on complex retrofit kits, coordinating service activities with the production plan to minimize impact. - Maintain accurate service records, escalation documentation, and maintenance logs while supporting internal and external audits. - Mentor junior technicians in disciplined troubleshooting and structured problem solving.
What you'll need
- Technical school degree (2-year program), BS with 0–1 years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant equipment experience. - Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. - Experience diagnosing vacuum, thermal, and gas delivery systems. - Ability to document and communicate technical issues during escalations. - Experience utilizing computer-based tools for documentation and tracking.
