About the role
This role involves architecting, developing, and deploying advanced control systems, connected equipment platforms, and data-driven automation solutions for critical manufacturing and purification processes.
What you'll do
- Design and develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, and edge-computing solutions for advanced industrial automation.
- Architect connected control systems that enable secure data collection, analytics, and AI-driven decision making.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot PLC applications using Rockwell, Schneider, or equivalent industrial control platforms.
- Lead automation and controls projects from requirements definition through commissioning and lifecycle support.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Create structured engineering knowledge assets suitable for enterprise search, AI assistants, and future knowledge transfer.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics.
- 7+ years of industrial automation, controls engineering, or process automation experience.
- Strong experience with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens), SCADA systems, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Strong proficiency with Rockwell Automation, Siemens Automation platforms, Studio 5000, TIA Portal, SCADA/Historian platforms, and industrial networking technologies.
- Experience with EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, and industrial cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency with engineering design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, and SolidWorks Electrical.
- Knowledge of NFPA 79, IEC 61131, IEC 61508, ISA standards, and OSHA requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience with Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, and digital manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience developing or supporting digital twin environments and simulation platforms.
- Familiarity with machine learning, data analytics, or AI-enabled industrial applications.
- Experience integrating manufacturing systems with MES, ERP, cloud, or enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with robotics, machine vision, advanced motion control, or autonomous systems.
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
