About the role
This position is responsible for designing, documenting, analyzing, testing, and collaborating across functions to implement technologies in gas purification systems. The role focuses on the development and optimization of gas purification systems, reporting to the Manager, New Product Development Engineering.
What you'll do
- Create and refine mechanical components and sub-systems. - Work cross-functionally to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and controls sub-systems. - Conduct simulations and analysis to evaluate system performance and reliability using tools such as SolidWorks Simulation and ANSYS. - Conduct testing and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. - Prepare detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, design specifications, and test reports. - Analyze and optimize purification processes to enhance efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and minimize environmental impact.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree. - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3-6 years of experience with a Master’s degree. - Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software, including SolidWorks 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience. - Experience with simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS. - Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and processes, and advise and mentor less experienced engineers.
Nice to have
- Draftsight/AutoCAD 2D CAD experience. - PYTHON experience. - JIRA experience.
