About the role
This Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering will own sustaining and quality assurance activities for commercial products and lead continuous improvement projects to drive process efficiency and reduce product variation. This position specifically focuses on Machining and Lamination manufacturing processes within the CMP Polishing Pads Business.
What you'll do
- Sustain productivity and quality levels of the manufacturing process, including dispositioning non-conforming materials and maintaining FMEAs and Control Plans.
- Optimize and drive productivity by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Reduce variation in product and process parameters by identifying key contributors and implementing effective control systems.
- Conduct root cause investigations of manufacturing out-of-control conditions by troubleshooting equipment and processes.
- Act as the equipment and process technical expert, providing training and technical troubleshooting guidance.
- Develop and execute Design of Experiment trials, manage new product scale-ups, and lead new equipment installations & qualifications.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with statistical software.
Nice to have
- Experience with chemical blending, injection molding, or compression molding.
- Experience with manufacturing equipment with programmable user interfaces.
- Experience with manufacturing planning and/or raw material coordination.
- Capital Project management experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Experience with Minitab and/or JMP.
