About the role
As a senior backend software engineer, you will design, build, and support a suite of AI/ML analytics applications for semiconductor manufacturing. You will own the full development lifecycle for assigned platform components, including writing production code and reviewing vendor contributions.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services for the AI/ML analytics platform. - Own architectural direction, technical documentation, and design decisions for assigned components. - Build and optimize backend systems handling high-throughput, large-scale telemetry data from manufacturing equipment. - Review and guide vendor-developed code to maintain quality and architectural standards. - Independently own features and changes end-to-end across design, testing, and deployment. - Support and troubleshoot deployed applications in on-premises and air-gapped customer environments.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional experience as a backend developer. - Strong proficiency in Go. - Working proficiency with Python, PostgreSQL, gRPC, HTTPS, Kafka, Redis, and Linux. - Familiarity with React/TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Docker/containerization experience. - Experience designing systems for performance and scale with high-volume, time-critical, and time-series data. - Experience with on-premises and air-gapped deployments.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI/ML applications. - C#/C++ proficiency. - Exposure to or interest in semiconductor manufacturing. - Experience supporting field-deployed or customer-facing software.
