About the role
As part of the Global Common Engineering team, you will design mechanical hardware for process chambers supporting ALD, PE-ALD, and Epitaxy applications.
What you'll do
- Design mechanical systems and products supporting process chambers using sound engineering principles. - Interpret and design to gas, water, and pneumatic schematics. - Lead hardware development from concept through testing and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) readiness. - Create and manage 3D CAD models (Creo) and 2D drawings with GD&T. - Perform engineering analysis including structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics. - Participate in design reviews, drive DFx activities, and collaborate with suppliers to resolve fabrication challenges.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or higher. - 2+ years of experience in mechanical design using 3D CAD (Creo preferred). - Familiarity with part fabrication methods including CNC, sheet metal, welding, and coatings. - Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards. - Ability to work in lab and cleanroom environments, including manual tasks.
Nice to have
- Experience in the semiconductor or capital equipment industry. - Knowledge of vacuum systems, wafer handling, gas/fluid delivery, or robotics. - Familiarity with SEMI standards (e.g., S2) and modern DFx practices. - Experience with PLM tools and methodologies.
