You will work closely with customer R&D/manufacturing teams and ASM global teams, supporting NPI, resolving technical escalations, and participating in approximately 6 months of training in the United States.
What you'll do
- Act as the primary technical interface for key customers, supporting Epitaxy process development and production with customer R&D and manufacturing teams. - Drive NPI and evaluation activities at customer sites, leading hands-on deployment and implementing BU-developed BKMs and process improvements. - Execute and support customer-specific DOE and demo activities in collaboration with process teams. - Diagnose and resolve complex process and equipment issues across development and production environments, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions. - Understand customer technology roadmaps, align ASM solutions with future node requirements, and monitor equipment performance against specifications. - Collaborate with global R&D, Product Marketing, and Service teams to translate customer requirements into product and technology development inputs.
What you'll need
- Ph.D. with 4-8+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master's degree with 7-10+ years of relevant industry experience in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Hands-on experience in Epitaxy (Epi), thin film / deposition processes (e.g., CVD, ALD, diffusion), or related semiconductor wafer processing technologies. - Professional experience in semiconductor device manufacturing, process development, or capital equipment industry. - Solid understanding of semiconductor process integration and high-volume manufacturing environments. - Demonstrated experience supporting NPI, process qualification, or technology transfer activities at customer sites. - Proven ability to manage customer escalations, drive root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions. - Fluency in both Korean and English.
Nice to have

How we counted: 67 open Process Engineering (Deposition Process) roles from 20 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 22 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
