Design and develop full custom analog circuits including amplifiers, simple ADCs, References, IOs, Oscillators, and power management systems.
About the role
This role involves defining, designing, developing, and verifying innovative analog circuits and systems. You will contribute to the design of a variety of cost-effective mixed-signal devices for computing, security-sensitive, and automotive markets.
What you'll do
- Design and develop full custom analog circuits, including amplifiers, simple ADCs, References, IOs, Oscillators, and power management systems.
- Perform detailed circuit simulations and analysis using industry-standard tools like Cadence Virtuoso and Cadence Spectre.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in design reviews.
- Guide and review layout implementations to meet performance, matching, and reliability requirements.
- Support testing and validation of prototypes, including troubleshooting and debugging.
- Document design processes, simulation results, and technical specifications.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in analog IC design.
- Fundamental understanding of semiconductor device physics.
- Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard EDA tools for analog and mixed circuit design, simulation, and layout (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso).
- Ability to learn and operate Microchip specific internal software tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with modern process nodes (e.g., 55nm, 22nm).
- Knowledge of mixed-signal design and verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with layout techniques for matching, noise isolation, and parasitic management.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation for simulation flows.
