About the role
This role involves being a system-level expert focused on product support for new product development, interacting with various engineering teams. This position is central to the development and deployment of Epitaxy process equipment.
What you'll do
- Be a system level expert focused on product support for new product development.
- Interact with Hardware, Electrical, Controls, Process, and Software engineering teams.
- Provide guidance to engineering during the design phase of new products on key customer requirements.
- Own the first build and test of new products in the development lab, providing real-time feedback and recommending solutions.
- Develop procedures and documents for service, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Drive customer fab readiness, installation, and start-up through production qualification for First in Fab (Alpha or Beta) customer shipments.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in Epitaxy (Epi) process equipment in a semiconductor equipment manufacturer.
- ALD/CVD, Etch experience is also considerable.
- Fluency in Japanese and business level communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel internationally (25% to 50% depending on product development cycle).
- Basic understanding of semiconductor processing and device fabrication.
