About the role

As a Mechanical Engineer on the Epitaxy (EPI) team, you will contribute to new product development as well as sustainment and engineering design projects. The position focuses on mechanical systems for semiconductor equipment, including reactors, vacuum chambers, and gas delivery systems.

What you'll do

- Apply solid engineering principles, product specifications, and research data to design systems and products for the semiconductor industry. - Perform engineering calculations, including structural, thermal, and fluid-dynamics analyses. - Create and update CAD models and detailed drawings in Creo Parametric, from simple parts to large assemblies. - Determine design feasibility, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop solutions using statistical methods to meet safety and first-time-right requirements. - Prepare engineering documentation to support prototype builds, manufacturing, and testing, and execute failure analysis (FA) through timely corrective-action closure. - Coordinate project management tasks including schedule creation, design reviews, cross-functional coordination, and travel to customer or supplier sites for technical discussions.

What you'll need

- Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related degree (or expected graduation in Spring or Fall 2026 / graduated within the past 2 years with 0–2 years of professional work experience). - Experience in coursework and projects related to design and development of complex mechanical systems, including reactors, vacuum chambers, gas delivery systems, pneumatics, water cooling circuits, and vacuum systems. - Proficiency in Creo Parametric, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office. - Strong understanding of ANSI Y14.5 GD&T standards and materials (metals, plastics, surface coatings, and surface finishes). - Familiarity with fabrication methods including CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, and coatings.

Nice to have
