About the role
This role involves applying mechanical engineering fundamentals to design and develop advanced high precision equipment for the semiconductor industry. You will support new product development and ensure reliable transition from design to manufacturing.
What you'll do
- Apply engineering principles, product specifications, and research data to create designs for systems and products with emphasis on mechatronics products.
- Design and develop automation stages including translating and rotary motion, sensors, servos, actuators, and integration of vision-based systems.
- Perform engineering calculations including structural and thermal analysis and dynamic systems modeling.
- Create and revise PRO-Engineer/CREO CAD models and detail drawings.
- Determine feasibility of product proposals, resolve problems based on technical inputs, and develop new designs maintaining product design safety criteria.
- Prepare product/system designs and related engineering documentation for manufacturing and testing.
What you'll need
- MS degree in mechanical engineering or related degree highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the engineering, design, and development of complex mechanical systems.
- Experience with automation stages, wafer handling systems, reactors, vacuum chambers, and gas delivery systems.
