About the role
This role involves improving the performance of manufacturing systems and contributing to the direction of the Controls Engineering department.
What you'll do
- Drive a "Safety First" culture through inspections and risk solutions.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and mentor factory personnel.
- Lead projects for manufacturing capacity expansion, high volume manufacturing transitions, or continuous improvements.
- Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley & Omron PLCs and HMIs.
- Conduct design reviews for new equipment and modifications, and create/red line electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.
- Develop strategies and programs to improve manufacturing floor productivity and efficiency through automation.
What you'll need
- Electrical Engineering or applicable degree.
- Chemical manufacturing or semiconductor controls experience.
- Experience with PLC/HMI programming on Allen Bradley and Omron.
- Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC-500, PowerFlexVFD, PanelView HMI, and Stratix switches.
- Experience with Omron CJ series PLC, Omron NS and NT series HMIs.
- Experience with Allen Bradley RSView32, Panelbuilder32, FactoryTalk View, RSLogix, and RSLInx programming packages.
- Experience with Omron CX-One and NT series support tool software packages.
- Networking experience with Ethernet, RS-232, and RS-485 communications.
- Experience with SCADA systems and OPC servers.
- Visual Basic programming experience.
- Knowledge or experience with AC/DC power distribution, control/pneumatic, cabinet designs and layouts, and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with Pressure, Vacuum, Temperature, Level, Flow and Weight Instrumentation.
- Ability to use a multimeter to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits.

- Experience with Chemical Synthesis and Distillation.
- Function Block (FB) and Sequential Function Chart (SFC) programming experience.
- Allen Bradley PlantPAX programming experience.
- Allen Bradley LBSM programming experience.
