About the role
The Senior Electrical Engineer supports the sustaining of released metrology products, introduction of new designs, and creation of upgrades impacting both manufacturing and service environments, focusing on electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical subsystems. The scope includes component selection, BOM and revision maintenance, fixture design for critical parts, and resolving system performance gaps.
What you'll do
- Design and develop electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical solutions for released products across their lifecycle. - Modify and revise electrical schematics and mechanical assemblies using AutoCAD, Orcad, and Visio Professional software. - Maintain bills of materials (BOM) and support customer and internal change-order processes under copy exactly requirements. - Create and evolve test fixtures to support critical part performance qualification. - Partner with manufacturing and extended factories to update test procedures resulting from component, design, or process changes. - Interface with material procurement, operations, service, and hardware/software development teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. - 5+ years of related work experience spanning development and manufacturing engineering environments. - Knowledge of Orcad and PCB design. - Demonstrated knowledge of power distribution for industrial machines. - Familiarity with NEC, NFPA-79, SEMI, Copy Exactly, UL508, and IEC/EN safety standards. - Broad understanding of automation, control, and power distribution systems, including PLCs, pneumatics, actuators, and servo systems.
Nice to have
- Experience with broadband light sources. - Experience in creating test programs to complement fixture creation.
