About the role
Aeva is seeking a Senior DSP Engineer to focus on signal processing algorithm development, verification, and testing. The role involves designing end-to-end systems and algorithms using detection and estimation theory, random processes analysis, and communications theory for 4D LiDAR systems.
What you'll do
- Design, verify, and test signal processing algorithms utilizing techniques in Detection & Estimation Theory, Random Processes Analysis, and Communications and Information Theory. - Design and simulate end-to-end systems from the ground up to meet required performance specifications. - Perform data analysis and verify algorithms against real-world data.
What you'll need
- MSEE+ with a focus in DSP or digital communications theory. - Proficiency in programming languages C or C++ and analysis tools such as Python and MATLAB. - Solid fundamentals in mathematics, digital signal processing, and communication systems. - Experience designing, selecting, and optimizing DSP algorithms for RADAR or other relevant sensors.
Nice to have
- Background with Radar or LiDAR Signal Processing (FMCW). - Expertise in Radar link budgets, analysis of Minimum Detectable Signal, Signal-to-Noise, and Signal-to-Clutter. - Experience developing DSP algorithms on FPGAs.
