Design, simulate, and develop high-speed, high-sensitivity InGaAs/InP photodiodes for optical transceivers and optoelectronic applications. This role supports product development from concept through qualification and manufacturing on-site in Fremont, CA.
What you'll do
- Design, simulate, and develop high-speed, high-sensitivity InGaAs/InP photodiodes for optical transceivers and optoelectronic applications. - Collaborate with epitaxial growth and semiconductor process engineers to define and optimize device structures, epitaxial designs, and fabrication processes. - Work closely with test and reliability engineers to develop characterization plans, evaluate device performance, and coordinate reliability qualification activities. - Partner with internal wafer fabrication teams and external manufacturing partners to develop and implement manufacturing technologies. - Analyze engineering data, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive continuous improvements in device performance, manufacturability, and yield. - Document design methodologies, experimental results, and technical findings while contributing to intellectual property development.
What you'll need
- PhD in photodiodes design and development, or a relevant degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. - Experience with optoelectronic device design and simulation. - Familiarity with photodiode architectural designs, device characterization, and test. - Working knowledge of epi materials growth and development. - Understanding of both front-end and back-end wafer process flows. - Experience supporting product qualification and release.
