About the role
This role involves managing customer semiconductor quality requirements and developing customer relationships within the Global Customer Quality Engineering (CQE) team. It focuses on semiconductor quality and reliability with Semiconductor/Automotive/Ind/commercial customers.
What you'll do
- Be the key customer interface to manage customer quality requirements and develop customer relationships.
- Lead cross functional problem-solving activities and 8D to resolve customer quality issues.
- Summarize customer quality issues and take ownership of resolution in assigned areas.
- Handle semiconductor/automotive customer field returns, 8D, and FA cases.
- Act as a host for customer quality audits and support closure of post audit improvement items.
- Handle customer PCN (Product Change Notices) in a timely manner.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s/Masters/PHD in Engineering, Semiconductor/Quality, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.
- 10+ years in semiconductor quality, customer quality, automotive quality, product quality, quality management systems, PCN management, reliability engineering, failure analysis, product & test engineering or production quality control.
- Hands-on skills in Quality tools and methodologies including Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, 5-why, 8D, statistics, and structured problem-solving techniques.
- Strong technical problem solving and hands-on skills in quality tools and methodologies, such as APQP, ZVEI, AEC, VDA, PPAP.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device & package fails mechanisms/symptoms.
- Ability to describe faults, manage analysis processes, and set up corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Background in customer-facing roles especially in semiconductor/automotive Industry and strategic leadership.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
