About the role
This role involves leading and advising on the implementation of large-scale cloud infrastructure projects as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Solutions Architect, focusing on system architecture, Kubernetes-based platforms, and automation. The position is central to NVIDIA's Cloud Partner (NCP) operating model, supporting GPU clusters from hardware handover to production-stable platforms, utilizing open-source-first and heterogeneous stacks like upstream Kubernetes, KubeVirt, Slurm, Prometheus/Grafana, Cumulus/SONiC.
What you'll do
- Own full-solution validation on partner software stacks, including cluster-wide stability testing and real training-workload acceptance.
- Minimize time from cluster handover to first production workload by coordinating hardware bring-up and managed-service intake.
- Own Day 2 production stability at fleet scale, covering monitoring, logging, workload orchestration, fault detection, and preventive maintenance.
- Assess customer environments and operate heterogeneous open platforms like upstream Kubernetes, KubeVirt, Slurm, integrated with enterprise-grade networking and storage.
- Provide consultative guidance and hands-on troubleshooting across the full stack (bare metal, OS, software stack, container platform, networking, storage).
- Act as technical leader for assigned accounts, providing structured knowledge transfer, enablement, runbooks, and best-practice guides.
What you'll need
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in managing scalable cloud environments and automation engineering roles.
- Proven understanding of networking fundamentals and data center architectures.
- Deep knowledge of Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu) and OS-level security.
- Experience with storage solutions such as Lustre, GPFS, ZFS, XFS, and emerging Kubernetes storage technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with GitOps-based cluster lifecycle and upgrade management for large fleets.
- Experience with observability stacks (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus) for monitoring, logging, and building fault-tolerant systems.
- Demonstrated ability to measure and improve MTBI and job goodput on large GPU clusters (fault detection, drain and remediation workflows, SLO/error-budget definition, post-incident review).
- Strong consultative background leading architectural reviews and presenting to executive stakeholders.
