About the role
As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will drive technical execution and Applications Engineering support for customer development and ramp phases, covering initial wafer introduction through pilot-line execution and high-volume manufacturing. Your technical scope covers primary platforms such as YieldStar, EUV, and DUV, focusing on on-product performance, control loops, and metrology optimization.
What you'll do
- Lead technical execution and workstreams for assigned platforms (YieldStar, EUV, DUV) across NPI, pilot-line execution, tool qualification, and ramp-to-volume readiness. - Serve as the technical interface between ASML and customer engineering teams to resolve on-product lithography and metrology challenges. - Define and execute customer experiments to validate on-product performance, yield improvement, and process optimization. - Analyze large datasets from scanner and metrology tools using data-driven insights and control strategies to resolve performance drivers. - Partner with product and system engineering teams to influence product improvements, tool configurations, and transfer global best known methods (BKMs). - Deliver technical presentations to customer technical leadership and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. - Minimum 8 years of experience in IC manufacturing, lithography, metrology, or process technology. - Experience supporting NPI, ramp, or high-volume manufacturing environments. - Strong experience in data analysis and coding using tools such as Python, MATLAB, R, or JMP. - Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams independently and collaborate across matrixed, global teams.
