About the role
This role focuses on the development of image, signal processing, and artificial intelligence algorithms for optical inspection and metrology systems, specifically within the Surfscan division.
What you'll do
- Develop image, signal processing, and artificial intelligence algorithms for optical inspection and metrology systems.
- Model and design proof-of-concept for algorithms.
- Implement production software for algorithms.
- Characterize algorithm performance and document findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototyping and testing algorithms.
What you'll need
- Solid fundamental knowledge in algorithm development.
- Expertise in image segmentation, texture analysis, classification, feature extraction, statistical data analysis, signal processing, filter theory, machine learning, and deep learning.
- C/C++ programming skills.
- Matlab/Python programming skills.
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and 3 years related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree and 5 years related work experience.
Nice to have
- CPU optimization (SSE/AVX) programming.
- GPU (CUDA) programming.
- Ph.D. degree in EE, CS, or Physics with strong experience in algorithm development.
