About the role
As a Digital Implementation Field Applications Engineer, you will deploy tools in Synthesis, P&R, and Signoff to meet customer PPA targets and achieve design closure. You will support customer implementations and work with Cadence R&D to translate design requirements into tool enhancements.
What you'll do
- Explore and deploy PPA methodologies and flows on customer designs. - Drive technical evaluations and benchmarks to completion. - Provide technical support to customers across Backend Digital Design Implementation and Signoff. - Guide customers on utilizing Cadence technologies to meet design goals and project schedules. - Work with R&D to enhance tools, methodologies, and address customer requirements. - Drive adoption and proliferation of Cadence tools across customer flows.
What you'll need
- Minimum 10+ years of industry, hands-on experience in Digital Design and Static Timing Analysis. - Prior experience with IC digital implementation flows, including Synthesis, Place and Route, IR Drop, and Timing Signoff. - Prior experience with Cadence tools (Genus, Innovus, Conformal, Tempus, Modus, Voltus) or competitive tools (ICC, ICC2, DC, FC, PrimeTime). - Experience with advanced nodes 5nm and below. - Expertise in scripting languages including Tcl, Perl, Python, or shell. - BS degree or higher in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
