Develop simulation frameworks and evaluation tools for robot foundation models built on the Omniverse platform and Isaac Lab Arena.
About the role
This role involves developing simulation tools for training and evaluating robot foundation models on top of NVIDIA's Omniverse platform. You will translate research prototypes into product-ready Isaac Lab Arena capabilities across product engineering and robotics research teams.
What you'll do
- Build simulation frameworks for training and evaluating robot foundation models on top of NVIDIA's Omniverse platform. - Partner directly with research to design, implement, and evaluate novel algorithms for robot learning. - Drive technical architecture, establish evaluation standards, and maintain cross-team leadership between Research and Product. - Execute software engineering practices including design and code reviews, testing, continuous integration, and deployment. - Integrate modern LLM and agentic workflows into simulation and robotics workflows. - Work with researchers and product engineers to translate research ideas into scalable Isaac Lab Arena capabilities.
What you'll need
- PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - 8+ years of relevant industry or post-degree research engineering experience in robotics, simulation, or robot learning. - Demonstrated track record of software design and translating research prototypes into production-ready software platforms. - Proficiency using Python. - Development experience with deep learning software stacks, including PyTorch or JAX.
