About the role
As a Robotics Engineer on the Simulation team, you will build pipelines and infrastructure to simulate Universal Robots cobots and Mobile Industrial Robots mobile platforms at scale.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain simulation pipelines and infrastructure to model UR and MiR robot platforms in virtual environments.
- Develop and maintain accurate robot models covering kinematics, dynamics, sensors, and controllers to reflect physical hardware.
- Implement and optimize ROS2 integrations ensuring simulated robots interoperate with physical system software stacks.
- Build scalable simulation infrastructure across cloud and on-premises GPU environments, including job orchestration, environment versioning, and resource management.
- Establish automated testing, validation, and benchmarking frameworks to measure simulation fidelity against integration time and fleet performance.
- Contribute to multi-agent simulation for fleet-level coordination, zone layout, and multi-robot interaction scenarios.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience working on robotics systems.
- Programming proficiency in Python and C++ for production-quality code.
- Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS2, including building nodes, middleware interactions, and hardware or simulator integration.
- Practical experience with a robotics simulation environment such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Webots, or CoppeliaSim.
- Understanding of robotics fundamentals including kinematics, dynamics, control, coordinate transforms, and sensor modelling.
- Experience with Linux, APIs, containerisation, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
