About the role
This 12-month RFIC Engineering Co-Op position involves developing complex multichip, multi-technology wireless module solutions for Wi-Fi applications within the RF and Mixed-Signal Intelligence Solutions business unit. The role focuses on the characterization, evaluation, and validation of advanced RF integrated circuits and front-end modules.
What you'll do
- Lab test and characterize highly integrated Wi-Fi front-end modules.
- Contribute to the research and development of advanced analog and RF integrated circuits for wireless (Wi-Fi) technology.
- Assist in new product engineering and design activities.
- Communicate with employees and demonstrate problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. academic program in Canada (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or related).
- Able to work onsite full-time from May 2027 through April 2028.
- Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.
- An interest and aptitude in RF/microwave and analog circuit design and measurement.
- An interest and aptitude in semiconductor device physics and integrated circuit design.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel and Word).
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Agilent ADS and/or Cadence Spectre/RF simulation tools.
- Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso IC Layout.
- Familiarity with Momentum/Sonnet/HFSS EM simulation tools.
- Familiarity with SPICE.
